B. Ryse is an independent creative studio, built on a simple belief: good design should do more than look beautiful. It should make something feel more like itself.

Founded by Bentley Rysedorph, B. Ryse exists for brands, ideas, and projects that need perspective, visual language, and a careful eye.

For a long time, I kept being told I needed to pick a lane

After graduating college, I applied to over 212 jobs. Yes, 212. And yes, I graduated Magna Cum Laude…it didn’t matter lol. I kept getting asked what I wanted to do, and I never had one neat answer. I liked design, marketing, painting, coming up with ideas, figuring out how to bring them to life. Apparently saying “I’ll do anything, where do you think I fit best?” is not the move when you’re job hunting. Who knew.

Then I got stuck again.

A few years later, I found myself feeling flat again. B. Ryse didn’t really exist yet. There was Art by Bentley, some freelance work here and there, cups I made for friends, but I still didn’t know how any of it fit together. Or if it even could.

Then Jillian said, “Do it all.”

In our first session, she asked me the same question everyone else had been asking me for years: what do you actually want to do? I gave her some version of my usual scattered answer. And she said, “Do it all.”

That was the first time someone didn’t ask me to narrow it down or clean it up. She wasn’t treating the fact that I loved all of it like a problem. She was telling me it might actually be the point.

What B. Ryse became

A place where I could paint, build brands, design wedding crests, create websites, obsess over typography, dream up an idea, and then figure out how to make it real. A place where I didn’t have to force creativity into one neat little box.

I’m now a Creative Director, designer, artist, writer, wife, new mom… and still very much someone who has no interest in picking just one thing.

B. Ryse is about becoming. The Beauty of Being is about noticing what’s already here.

Who We Are

Bentley Rysedorph is the founder of B. Ryse, an independent creative studio shaped by the belief that good design should do more than look beautiful. It should make something feel more like itself.

After years of being told to pick one lane, Bentley built a practice that lets her do the things she’s always loved most — brand identity, creative direction, editorial design, websites, art, writing, and visual storytelling. Her work is driven by a strong eye for detail, a love of typography and texture, and a deep interest in helping ideas take shape.

She also writes The Beauty of Being, a personal Substack about creativity, motherhood, home, marriage, and the ordinary moments that end up meaning more than they seem like they should.
